Warranty Policy
One-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty (NYC)
1Warranty Coverage
icGeneralContractor icGeneralContractor warrants that all labor and workmanship performed shall be free from defects for a period of one (1) year from the date of substantial project completion.
2Scope of Warranty
This warranty applies solely to defects directly resulting from workmanship performed by icGeneralContractor and not from materials or external conditions. Covered items may include:
- Improper installation
- Defective workmanship
- Failure to perform work in accordance with generally accepted industry standards
3Warranty Service Obligation
Upon a valid claim, icGeneralContractor agrees to:
- Inspect the reported issue
- Repair or correct defective workmanship at no additional labor cost
Repairs will be scheduled within a reasonable timeframe based on availability and project conditions.
4Written Notice Requirement (MANDATORY)
The Client must notify icGeneralContractor in writing within thirty (30) days of discovering any defect or issue. Failure to provide written notice within this 30-day period shall result in automatic voiding of the warranty claim.
Accepted Methods of Written Notice:
All submissions must include:
- Description of the issue
- Photos (if applicable)
- Project address
- Approximate date of project completion
5Service Call Policy
icGeneralContractor reserves the right to charge a service call fee for all warranty inspections. This fee will be waived only if the issue is confirmed to be caused by defective workmanship covered under this warranty.
6Exclusions
This warranty does NOT cover:
7NYC Compliance Disclaimer
All work is performed in accordance with applicable New York City building codes and regulations at the time of installation. This warranty does not cover upgrades or modifications required due to future code changes or unrelated violations.
8Limitation of Liability (CAP)
To the fullest extent permitted by law, icGeneralContractor's total liability under this warranty or related to the project shall be strictly limited to the total amount paid by the Client for the original contracted work.
Under no circumstances shall icGeneralContractor be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of business, revenue, profits, or use
- Damage to contents, inventory, or personal property
9Non-Transferability
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original client unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10Access for Repairs
The Client agrees to provide reasonable and timely access to the property for inspection and repair. Failure to provide access may void warranty obligations.
